Nickelby captial

A case study in London video production.

Nickelby Capital needed five client testimonials, nine FAQ responses, and a social mashup video. All from one filming day. The challenge was real: five senior people on camera, each needing to deliver sharp, authentic answers without sounding rehearsed. Most agencies would default to sit down interviews. We didn't. Instead, we built a game show format. Each interviewee would pick a card, read the question, and answer on camera. No script. No stilted Q and A. Just genuine responses in real time. The format kept energy up, got people laughing, and meant we captured personality as much as information. Before the day, we crafted nine core questions covering testimonials and FAQs, printed them on cards, and briefed the team on the tone we wanted. On the day itself, the setup did the heavy lifting. People were having fun, not being interviewed.

From one day of filming, we delivered five distinct testimonials, nine FAQ responses covering the business and their investment approach, and a 60 second social mashup that cut between all five people. The card game format meant every response felt spontaneous and engaging. Nickelby had enough material to sustain their content calendar for months from a single, well-organised session.

This is how we approach video production. The format is the strategy. Not bigger, not fancier. Better thinking upfront about how to get the response you actually want, not just the logistics of capturing it. The pre-production feels invisible when it lands, but that's the point. The best production days aren't the ones with the biggest budgets. They're the ones where the concept does half the work for you.
